Seeing the World as a Network – Tanzania Associate Award

by on March 3, 2014

tanzania-aaOur third country associate award arrived today. It is for Tanzania – both the mainland and Zanzibar. The other two associate awards that are up and running are for Kenya and South Africa. The three results structuring the TZ award are:

  1. Improve the use of data for policy, advocacy, and monitoring of health and social service programs and strengthening M&E systems at the national level.
  2. Improve the use of data for policy, advocacy and monitoring of health and social service programs and strengthening M&E systems at the subnational level.
  3. Improve the evidence base through conducting research and building research capacity.

The five year award is for just under $15 million. Jason Smith, serving as the Principal Investigator, will guide the team that will be in-country. We look forward to working with the Mission and the Ministry of Health to improve Tanzania’s public health through an improved data and evidence base.
