This week MEASURE Evaluation presented findings from its case studies of integrated health services in Senegal and Malawi at USAID’s Global Health Mini-University in Washington, DC. Dr. Beth Sutherland, Senior Technical Specialist for HIV, opened the session by presenting the conceptual framework, developed by an interagency USG technical working group, which guided the research.

Against a background of well-known movie soundtracks, the project’s finest (or make-shift) actresses and actor dramatized the importance of an M&E framework to monitor inputs, outputs and outcomes, and the need for more documentation and scale-up, of integrated services.

The session closed with an audience-led discussion, and included topics such as the sustainability of providing integrated services in resource-constrained settings and the level of buy-in required from country partners.
